ROJO Means More Than Red

In any business it is important for all the team members to know what their role is and how they are contributing to helping the company meet its goals.

At ROJO we feel it is important for all of our team members to know how their everyday work is helping to send meals to children in need.

We will be officially launching the ROJO Ink website today. Putting your work out there for others to criticize can be scary but gets easier with practice.
Every spectator thinks they can do a better job than the coach on the field. It is easy and safe to criticize as a spectator but spectators don’t get anything done.

Start something. 

Once you get over the fear that your work will be criticized no matter what, your are free to create, innovate, and motivate.

We work for a [company] that is doing great things in the world, one that’s attacking daunting problems in a powerful new way.  I believe in what we do, andthink that we may be catalyzing a shift in how the world fights poverty.
Look around you at great leaders who you know or respect.  What do they spend theirtime doing?    They are infused with drive, passion, vision, commitment, and energy.  They walk through the world dissatisfied with the status quo.  They talk to anyone whowill listen about the change they want to see the world.  And they build a team and anorganization that is empowered to make that change.
How good is your idea?  How important is your cause?  Important enough that you’vegiven up another life to lead this life.  You’ve given up another job, another steadypaycheck, another bigger paycheck to do this all day long, every day, for years if not fordecades, to make a change in the world and to right a wrong
I’d rather be an evangelist, a storyteller, an educator, a translator, a table‐pounder, a guyon his soap box, a woman with a megaphone, a candidate for change.  I want to talk toas many people as I can about my ideas – whether in person or in newsletters or onFacebook or Twitter or in the Economist or at the TED conference or at Davos – andcapture their imagination about the change I hope to see in the world.   Don’t you?

• Speak to university students about the ROJO business model.
• Host our annual 24 hour fast to honor hunger victims world wide. 
• Model shoot for our spring line.
• Host our eco-line launch party! 

This past month has been very exciting an busy and there is no sign of things slowing down. The pace and excitement of the ROJO Movement makes events like our “24 hour fast of compassion” even more important. It allows us to take pause and remember what the movement is all about.

We hope to announce some exciting new developments that have been in the works for some time now. They will represent some big steps for our young company. The early years of any company are fragile but at the same time calculated risks must be taken.

No worthwhile endeavor is without its trials, setbacks and disappointments. The difference between those who persevere and those who give up is their answer to the question “Why?” Why have they chosen to undertake the endeavor? I believe a strong enough “why” can overcome any “how.”

Why > How

The fact that thousands of children die everyday simply because they do not have enough to eat and that we have the power to do something about it is our “why.”
